Eleanor Wolfe

Eleanor Wolfe, 88 of Zanesville, died 1:25 PM, Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Clay Gardens Place following a lengthy illness. She was born Tuesday, June 29, 1926 in Zanesville, the daughter of Archibald "Arch" Watton and Thelma (Factor) Watton-Kehl. She married Daniel H. “Danny” Wolfe on Sunday, August 3, 1947 who preceded her in death. She was a dedicated and active member of Faith United Methodist Church where she was involved in the Eventide Circle and several bible study groups. Eleanor was an avid card player, enjoyed reading and loved helping with genealogy projects. She, along with her husband Danny was involved in Danny's Radiator Service, Zanesville Regatta Association and Zane Gray Ole Car Club. Eleanor was a member of the Red Hat Society and was a true animal lover, especially her dog Brandy. Eleanor was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved spending time with her family. Eleanor will be missed by all who knew her and all who knew her were touched in some way by Eleanor. Eleanor is survived by four sons: Steve & Lois Wolfe, David & Brenda Wolfe, Dan & Wilma Wolfe and Don & Vicky Wolfe all of Zanesville; eleven grandchildren: Stacey & Chris Fletcher of Zanesville, Daniel Harold (Stacy ) Wolfe of Newark, Allan & Jennifer Turk, II of White Sands, NM, Aaron & Michelle Turk of Circleville; Dionne Wolfe of Newark, Jennifer & Scott Wilson of Zanesville, Michael & Courtenay Wolfe of Westerville, Mike Smitley of Youngstown, Brent & Erin Smitley of Zanesville; Brian & Amy Wolfe of Zanesville, Heather & Clint Heiney of Roseville, Stephanie & Kevin Jamison of Prospect, KY, Lee & Elizabeth Wolfe of Dayton and Michelle Brock of Zanesville 25 great grandchildren; one sister: Rosalie & Forest Frew of Nashport and special friends. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband: Danny Wolfe who died February 19, 2005; one grandson: Shawn Wolfe; one step-brother Bob Kehl and three step-sisters: Dorothy Sheridan, Mary Margaret Hooper and Kathrine Bruner. Friends may call, Friday, January 16, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 PM at The Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville where Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 17, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kevin Jamison officiating. Eleanor will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Danny in Zanesville Memorial Park.
