Beverly J. "Bev" McLoughlin

Beverly J. "Bev" McLoughlin, 78 of Zanesville, died 9:25 PM Monday, January 6, 2014 at the Inn at Emeritus following a lengthy illness. She was born Saturday, July 27, 1935 in Sonora, the daughter of Roy Walters and Virginia (Allen) Walters. She married Charlie McLoughlin on Saturday, April 22, 1961 and was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Bev worked for First National Bank for several years. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who loved to spend time with her family. She was a great supporter of their activities and if there was any sporting event where her children and grandchildren were involved, she was there to support them. Bev is survived by her husband: Charlie McLoughlin; two daughters: Lisa (Curt) Ruff of Rushville and Linda (Wesley Dean) Moore of New Albany; two sons: Chuck McLoughlin and Brent (Brandy) McLoughlin both of Zanesville; seven grandchildren: Kyle Moore, Shelby Ruff, Lauren McLoughlin, Bryce McLoughlin, Landon McLoughlin, Ainsley McLoughlin and Jasper McLoughlin; nine brothers & sisters-in-law: Dennis & Sharon McLoughlin, Alan & Diane McLoughlin and Jane Mills all of Zanesville, Martha Watson of Lancaster, Kathleen & John Dinan of Zanesville, Marie & Bill Miller of Lancaster, Virginia Porter of Hopewell; Joan McLoughlin of Zanesville, and Marge McLoughlin of Columbus; numerous nieces and nephews and two special friends: Nancy Neptune of New Concord and Darliss Mock of Frazeysburg. In addition to her parents, Bev was preceded in death by one son: Lance McLoughlin and one sister: Marlene Bunting. Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, January 10, 2014 at The Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville where a Christian Vigil will be held at 7:45 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM, Saturday, January 11, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 144 North Fifth Street, Zanesville with Fr. Peter Fagen, O.P. as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Mattingly Settlement Cemetery, Nashport.
