Helen Miller

Helen J. Miller, 85 of Zanesville died 7:50 PM Monday, November 19, 2012, at Adams Lane Care Center. She was born Thursday, October 13, 1927 in Frazeysburg, the daughter of John Dillon and Ollie M (Cline) Dillon. She married Donald T. Miller on September 28, 1946 and was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Helen was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Order of The Eastern Star, former member of the Saint Vincent DePaul Society and had served as a 4H leader and Girl Scout Leader. She was employed for the Sears Company for many years and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Helen is survived by two daughters: Judith A. (David Fisher) Miller and Karen J. (Robert Dayle) Bailey both of Zanesville; two sons: James A.(Jan Cramer) Miller of Zanesville and Donald J (Barbara) Miller of Frazeysburg; eight grandchildren: Kellye Krebs, Robert Bailey, Ryan Bailey, Reid Bailey, Ashley Miller, Caitlin Miller, Kayci Gowins and Dana Miller; five great grandchildren: Kaleb Krebs, Kenzie Krebs, Reid Bailey, Luna Bailey and Aden Donalson; five sisters: Edith Miller of Nashport, Alice Dillon of Newark, Agnes (Ron) Waisner of The Colony, TX., Hazel (Harrison) Underwood of Bluffton, OH., and Sue Gardner of Nashport; five brothers: Carl (Betty) Dillon of Friendswood, TX., Ron Dillon of Newark, John C (Paula) Dillon of Nashport, Gary Dillon of Newark and Larry (Linda) Dillon of Pataskala and many nieces and nephews: In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband: Donald T. Miller who died October 29, 2001; one son: David T. Miller; one daughter in law, Sheila Miller; one sister: Marilyn Underwood. Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, November 25, at The Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue with the Rosary being recited by the Daughters of Isabella at 3:45 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM November 26, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church where Fr. Martin Ralko and her nephew: Fr. Robert Miller will concelebrate the Mass. Burial will follow in Dresden Cemetery. The family would like to thank staff of The Muskingum County Home, Adams Lane Care Center and Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care for the special care given to their mother during her illness.
